In summary

I'm new to airsoft so was a bit worried about being out gunned on my first day.. Fear not with an 8.4 batt I was shooting down more experienced at great range with .25s. For the money I don't think there's a better entry to the sport or upgrade against an older gun. It's built like a tank and the only con (and I'm being fussy) is the fire selector could be more positive on selection.

Get yourself 5 mid caps for about 40 quid and your good to go

I have owned a variety of airsoft guns, however this one stands out from the crowd. It is an absolute beast! It's better than other guns which I have bought before for more money. I have owned this gun for 6 months now and it is unstoppable. I have had no jams before, and I mean none. The power is a nice round number for skirmishing. The ROF is also amazing, I would recommend getting a 9.6v battery rather than the 8.4 because it increases the fire rate by quite a bit. The plastic is good quality, however there is the odd seam here and there but nothing to complain about. And the spelling error on the left side (refeer to instruction manual) but not much. The mag does feel cheap when compared to the gun and wobbles in the gun. But there is plenty of mags out there to choose from. The gun is easy to dismantle for upgrades etc. But in all honesty, don't upgrade it until something malfunctions because the gun is so good as standard. I also got a B&T tracer unit for mine and it looks so badass with it on XD! If you plan on getting a UKARA licence soon, there is black upgrade parts for sale. These parts are easy to remove and the battery is easy to install. Overall I would recommend this gun to someone with a budget of £100-200. As it is amazing quality to price. Best buy so far!

My first proper AEG, has seen me threw many a skirmish now and has not failed me once!

Only con would be the stock hop up gave me a bit of trouble at first, but after a bit of tinkering i managed to get it working spot on

Apart from this everything works exactly as it should, feeds fine, shoots far and accurate, a definite good buy for someone looking to get into the sport, or just as another gun to add to the collection.

well i must say it alot better than i thought it would be and is very solid and sturdy its got quite a bit of weight to it but i preifer heavy guns i got a 8.4v battery with it but if u put a 9.6v in its rate of fire increasess and is very noticable but most of all this gun can be used by a begginer if they can hold it up or can be used by a more avanced user.

this mag has a little wobble to it but nothing serious and does fire well in the other reviews it say that jing gong mag works really well in them but dnt no as ive not tried yet.

overall i would recomend this gun 2 any1 that wants something well worth there money and dont want 2 spend an alfull lot on a gun.

also this gun is made with the same materials as the real one

This is the second SRC,G36C i have brought (1st src was a gen2/it lasted 16 months before it died.)and it`s just like old times..
PROS:
the feel of the gun very nice, very sturdy.
the rate of fire in full auto amazing.
CONS:
(the reason for quality at 4/5)
straight out of the box it needed to be tighten up/3 bolts near the main grip,
either side of gun near selector switch and under the butt stock.
but once done all was okay..

Good solid piece of kit
Review by
ok well the SR4 or as we know it G36c.

the gun out the box was very sturdy had some great weight in some senses it feels like the real thing. only things i can realy fault was the seam lines but a piece if sand paper or a a file and your sorted and the mag rattles so get a better mag or use some tape.

i use a 1600 mah battery and 0.2 Blaster bbs just use good bbs and your good

the Gun all and all has a nice rate of fire a good reach when you ajust the hop up is realy solid and doesnt have any shakes when mag is out

last but not least it is a great gun you can get changable parts when you have your liscence and its a good starting gun well recommend

I ordered this weapon slightly nervous due to previous purchase's (not your fault AW) and was half expecting it to fall apart on me at some point in the next few days in some way shape or form.
How wrong could I be !!!!
This gun is solid, and when I say solid I do mean SOLID. I've held it from the barrel end and the stock end separate and shaken it about, above my head like a toy rattle, and not a creak, rattle or flex to be heard ! This really is a solid bit of kit.

Unless you play prone then you really do want to get yourself a good quality sling for this weapon, it is heavy ! Don't be fooled by the skeleton stock !

*Scary* ROF even on 8.4 Volt batteries, the hop up is superb and stays where you set it. The mechanics turn over with a nice punchy sound, and sounds scarily like some .22 rifles I've fired in the past. (Not quite matched the 5.56 SA80-A2 yet mind...)

The cocking handle is very stiff, but in all honesty I'd rather the hop up chamber was kept closed rather than the internals inadvertently exposed to the elements..

Amazingly fast delivery (once it was dispatched after being two toned, Under 18 hours from leaving their warehouse !)

All in all, if you like it, and have the budget GET ONE ! You will not be disappointed !

I bought one of these as my excellent local site Players of War, Bonnybridge also has some of these and I was impressed enough to buy my own.

The build quality is good and the cast parts are well finished. The whole unit has a solid feel to it. Not sure about the "REEFER TO MANUAL" stamp though!

I'm using mine with high quality 50C(peak), 7.2v LiPo 1300mah cells and the rate of fire is very fast. I went through 4000+ 0.2g beebs in six games and needed to swap to a new battery pack at lunchtime. I really need to buy another two mags before our next game.

PoW is a large site with a mix of open woodland, dense woodland and buildings, so I got to fire the weapon at a variety of ranges and felt very happy with the range of the weapon and the grouping.

The only downside is that the green parts are more fluorescent than the photographs suggest. Much more of a fluorescent lime green, however this can be improved with a well placed bit of camo tape.

Pre-Sales Service wise, I had a good talk with some guy (wish I had asked for a name) at Airsoftworld who spent a bit of time helping me come to an informed purchasing decision and then made sure the gun went out that day for delivery the next morning.

Overall I would have no hesitation, in recommending this model or Airsoftworld to a friend.

the gun is solid as a rock it had been abused a bit by tnt and it doesn't have a problem its perfectly fine, the gun is made out of the same stuff as the real gun and feels like it to has a nice weight maybe to much for smaller or younger player, it really dose need a 9.6v or a 7.2v lipo it drained my 8.4v quick so a spear battery is a good idea if you go skirmishing, its very accurate up to 40m range of about 60m+,it also has a nice clean sounding gearbox which is what you would expect from 8mm ball bearing and a very powerful motor over all a high end aeg ready to go out of the box and for a the price of a mid range aeg what more do you want

This gun was the best value for money gun i have found on the internet. at first i was looking at MP5's because they look awesome but then i realised how expensive it would be to upgrade it like putting a RIS on it. i then happened to look at G36's and found how great they are especially for what games i play. i play CQB and Field games. this gun can be used as a SAW, a sub or an assault which are all things i want to be able to achieve, so this gun is very versatile and i would recommend it to anyone. the only problem is the magazine is loose and also the fake blowback was quite stiff at first and then it eased up. I've put 5 stars for quality but really it should be more like in between 4.5 and 5.

This is the first AEG i have bough prior to this it has just been GBB pistols and i have to say im impressed with this gun. The pros and cons have been mentioned in other reviews and the pros more than out weigh the cons, while their is a small amount of mag wobble this is barely noticable with the mag supplied however with the JG mags that are recommended this is more prominant but this doesnt stop a brilliant feed of the bb's. I woul recommend this gun to anyone looking to start in skirmishes as the setup already puts you ahead without having to buy an expensive gun. Next thing on my list is a sight for this puppy. i am going to start with the cons. I have 4 things i don't like about this gun.
1. the cocking handle is to stiff but that is so you can access the hop up easier
2. the battery is a mission to get in
3. after my first day of getting this gun one of the fire selector managed to work its way free but i super glued it back on
4. the pin that hold the hand gard in to place gets worn after about 5 times of taking it in and out
but the pros seriously out way the cons i could'nt of asked for a gun with better accuracy and power its an amazing gun for the money.
over all i rate this gun 95%

Brilliant AEG all round. Brought this on Friday and paid an extra £3 and had the gun delivered Saturday. I see these reviews saying the mag wobbles, mine doesn't at all so no worries there. Rate of fire is good and the accuracy is spot on, I didn't even need to adjust the hop up or the sights. All in all an excellent gun, and for the price, can't say no.

Firstly the cons, the only one that i can seriously think of is that the cocking handle is a little stiff, but thats not a serious problem as te rest of the build quality is sound, especially when you consider the price... The only other negative is that the weapon does not come with a supplied batt and charger, but that is to be expected from a weapon of this make and shouldnt affect your decision that much.

Now for the pro's... The delivery was FAST, well done to AW as i ordered on one of the many bank holidays surrounding the royal wedding and it still arrived within 2 days.

I was expecting the mag to be of poor quality and although at first i did not like the look of a translucent mag i soon warmed to it as i could conveniently check my ammo. But i realise thats not everyone's cup of tea. Oh and as for some reviews claiming the mag to wobble and rattle... mine dosnt at all so either im lucky or...

For the price i wasnt expecting too much but after the first skirmish i fell in love with the weapon. It was hefty in a convincing way, reliable and looked awesome. (Obv will look better when its not two tine but hey). Accurate too, very accurate.

As a recommendation i would follow the advice from one of the other reviews on this site whereby your buy a 9.6V batt instead of an 8.4V. It fits just as well and the extra power is definatly noticeable. The only draw back to this is that it could tip it over the legal limit for your airsoft site... as it happened mine travelled 1fps over the limit which surprised everyone considering its a two tone. (329fps)

So after a lengthy review i conclude this to be a highly recommended buy for anyone but especially for beginners who do not wish to spend an insane amount of money but still want a competitive edge.

The gun itself is very hefty, but this gIves it an extremely solid feel. The plastic used gives you the impression that its simply not going to fall apart. The hop up unit is relatively easy to get to, but the slidy back thing is unpredictable because sometimes it stays back, sometimes it springs back, and sometimes it springs back but stops halfway. However, this is not a major problem as the hop up does not need adjusting very often. The gun is fully ambidextrous except that if you are left handed, and the stock is folded in, the gun is very uncomfortable to hold. Other wise, brilliant gun, reliable and excellent value for money for a beginner or intermediate airsofter ;)

Ok, I cleaned this gun with silicon oil, and received 6 packs of ice-blue bbs, and the gun now works great! in about 4 shots, it can hit a rubber 3x2cm from 40ft, without swerving at all! Also, the hop-up seems to be having zero effect on the horizontal accuracy, and it can go further than it used to be able to! I don't understand this...

Hi everyone,
The externals have a great feel. It looks/feels much more realistic than the JG G36C my friend has. It's quite heavy, but that doesn't matter too much, and could be considered a good thing :)

However, I've had a few problems with the internals:
- The rate of fire I find is very unreliable. Sometimes, on a new battery (8.4v nimh), I've recorded it at 10 shots per second, but at other times it's been much closer to 15 (the motor also seems under less strain - higher pitch). I also find that the wire with the fuse on it gets very hot, and that when the battery is directly connected to the motor (without the fuse) the rate of fire increases by 2/3 shots per seconds. I'm sure this is not due to the fuse because I have taken the fuse out completely, only using the wire around it, and there is the same problem. I think this must be due to the poor quality wire around the fuse, so I'm hoping that if I replace ALL of the wire up to the motor with high quality (inside the gun) the ROF might increase.
- the accuracy is also unreliable. Using precision Excel bbs, they swerve in all directions quite a lot (from 40ft they swerve 50 cm). I am told that the SRC hop-up unit is bad, so I might try replacing that.

The magazine feeds ok, but is pretty rubbish quality. Sometimes the spring unwinds spontaneously, which is annoying.

At my site, it was chronoed at 315fps, which is ok.

Overall, it is pretty good, but not as a stock gun. It's my first AEG, so I'm not an expert who's handled lots of better guns (therefore leading me to believe this one is bad comparatively).

AW: do you think replacing the wire would improve its ROF?

When i brought the G36C i was not sure what to expect, but after doing a few crono tests it actually shoots at between 330-340fps (advertised at 315 i think).

Once i played around with the hop-up the accuracy was excellent at 25ft, good at around 45ft but at 65ft the bullets were spraying all over the place. The magazine could be tighter and wobbles around a little but but does not really affect the performance (that is the only reason i gave a 4* on quality).

All in all for £150 this is an excellent choice for beginners and can be upgraded at a later stage to make it a reall good contender in pro skirmishes.

***As the gun does not come with a battery i would suggest buying the 9.6v battery not the 8.4v. The 9.6v will slightley increase the fire rate of the weapon and at long range even increase the acuracy. A simple way to make this gun just that little bit better :)

but i have encountered a single and worrying problem, when i put the gun on single shot now it fires 1 bb, then next time i press the trigger it fires a burst of bbs then one bb and so on. if aanyone knows how to overcome this problem i will be very thankfull.
now for the good parts, its build like a tank! on many occasions i have dropped the gun onto concrete and it wasnt broken or cracked or anything! it also has a high rate of fire so if your a full atou type of guy this is your gun and also single shot people dont be put of !
so brilliant gun apart from that problem i have but mabye its just mine!

Cheap entry gun, compression and hop up issues
Review by
Price

Quality
This is a pretty good value entry gun. The build quality of the externals is solid and the fire selector switch is very robust. The stock folds nicely and there weren't any weak joints anywhere. This is a good purchase if you just want to get into airsofting cheaply but don't take it too seriously. On the plus side the barrels are VERY tight, I put in a MadBull ver 2 6.03mm and it dropped the FPS by 10!!! So if you are buying this gun I would not bother investing in a tight bore barrel. It also comes with metal bushings in the gear box which was surprising but this was about the only good thing internally see below.

Issues:
The internals are not brilliant the spring guide was made of very cheap plastic and is the first thing that I would replace. The air seal of the gun was very poor probably dropping the fps 25-30 below what it should have been. Getting into the gearbox is also VERY tricky. The hop up unit despite being metal is VERY poor this was the source of most of the compression issues.

If you are looking to upgrade this gun I would suggest the following:
New spring guide, (A MUST)
New Hop Up unit (A MUST) (though note you will need a new mag well as the SRC one has the feeder located on the hop up unit itself rather than the magazine well).
The motor might be high torque but unless you are putting an SP110 or above in it there's not really any advantage, you are probably better off going for rate of fire and getting an EG1000.

In Conclusion: Cheap entry gun but if you want to turn it into something half decent be prepared to spend a fair bit of money and have a fair bit of patience.

My SRC G36c arrived this morning and thought I would put a quick post about it.

First off superb service as usual from Airsoftworld – I ordered my G36c on the bank holiday weekend and even after I cocked up my card details it still got to me quickly (quick note -never try and order online at the end of a 12 hours nightshift!)

So what can I say about the SRC G36c, well it’s superb! It’s well made no problems with joins etc and nice and solid and it actually has a nicer ‘feel’ to it than my JG G36K. Its also shoots really smoothly with no sign of strain in the motor and I haven’t had to remove 8 tons of thick gunk before using it which is definatly a plus! There is a slight wobble with the supplied hi-cap mag when inserted but still feeds ok and no wobble at all with my King Arms and TM mags. And the price was excellent, so all in all I think you get a lot of gun for an excellent price and would highly recommend the SRC G36c

Both the externals and internals on this are amazing. Easily beats JG/CYMA etc out of the box, and the sound it makes during firing is more akin to a stock TM than a clone brand (dosen't sound like it's under stress, more a whine then a pop, like a good AEG should be.) Easily on par with CA/TM. For this price, it is the most reliable and accurate AEG's you could purchase. (just get a couple of JG mags though, looks like the money went into the gun, not the mag. Oh, and buy a 8.4 volt mini as no battery is included)
As always, speedy delivery from AW, couldnt be happier :)

Very Nice Gun!

Very Good value gun, the 2 tone is great! the "2-toned" parts of the gun are easily replaceable for black versions :D but it would be better to buy another rifle instead of doing that.

In terms of quality, the hand-guard that holds the battery is poorly made. the seams are extremely obvious, and the bottom of the grip splits sometimes and requires glueing. the folding stock's pin becomes loose when folded and fell out (causing the entire stock to fall off in the middle of a skirmish) which is a disappointment.
The 1 Hi-Cap magazine that comes with the gun is Crap. its made of a horrible transparent kind of plastic, and the quality of the mag is awful. its wobbly when inserted into the gun, and has had feed problems, I recommend throwing it in the bin and buying 3 nice JG mags sold by AW. they are perfect fit, and the plastics match the gun's body. also the feeding hole in the magazine is SQUARE and the overall build quality is crap. the one in the JG mags is circular and a MUCH better quality when you compare the two.

Overall, its a great first AEG, perfect for beginners to the sport.

Ok so this is my second ever gun and first assualt rifle, I bought it like a week or two after its release and... it's amazing. The accuracy and hop-up aint so great but damn near everything else is. Personally, my favourite part of the gun is the very high rate of fire which it has compared to other guns of a similar price range (like the JG AUG) and so is fantastic for supressing fire and such.

If you are going to get this gun (which I would highly recommend) please be sure to get the battery and charger pack on the related products section, and if you forget or don't notice don't phone up AirsoftWorld and rant on about how it didn't come with a battery or charger.

Buy the gun and have some fun. Thanks for another quality buy AW.

Chinese supplied Batteries and Chargers are warrantied to be not DOA (Dead on Arrival) only. We always recommend swapping out to a better quality Battery and Charger at the earliest opportunity.

Custom Painted products (Two-Tone) are non-refundable as these are painted to order.

Unless otherwise stated, all products are sold singly.

Performance

Any figures used are based on tests performed on the products when they are first listed. These can vary due to changes by the manufacturer, gas pressure, gas used and a number of other factors. All figures should be treated as an approximate guide and used for reference only.

All listed FPS are +/- 5% due to differences from rifle to rifle. If you require a guaranteed FPS, please add an upgrade/downgrade option on to your product (this may cost extra).

No airsoft AEG is warrantied for use with an 11.1v LiPo or higher voltage battery at UK velocities (373fps or lower) unless specifically recommended on the product itself. Use of higher voltage batteries can cause failures and will negate any warranty implied or otherwise.

Wearable Items

We cannot offer a refund or exchange on articles bought and worn skirmishing that you subsequently feel aren't suitable. If in doubt, try the kit on in your house BEFORE you play as soiled items will not be refunded for this reason. Would you wear someone elses soiled socks?

Pyrotechnics

We cannot offer an exchange on pyrotechnic devices due to device failure. We are unable to guarantee that the pyrotechnic device has been stored in a moisture free environment or used correctly in accordance with the manufacturers guidelines.
