This is the STEN MK.2(S) Airsoft replica, the most widely used suppressed submachine gun in the last century before the MP5 SD. Used in the 1940s by British Commando special operations in Scandinavia, as well as in SOG secret missions in the jungle between Cambodia and Vietnam in the 1960s. Easily recognised as an icon of old school special forces operations. The S in this edition stands for the suppressor, which is included with the rifle, along with the cover and protective cord, which are also included and pre-assembled.

As close to the real thing as you could get

This is a marvelous recreation of such an iconic weapon. When it sits next to your other Airsoft, or BB guns, it will stand out, because it just looks, and feels like the real thing. Even the uneven weld adds to the authenticity, and it's so much heavier than you might imagine. There's not a bit of plastic in the main construction, and when you cock it, well, even as an older collector, the grin was stolen from my childhood. If you're hesitating on the price, don't! This, in my opinion, is as close as you ll get to owning an historic sub machine gun. I'm so tempted by the wooden stock version as well.....but I think I may have to wait for a little more display room. Well done Northeast Airsoft, this really makes the AEG version look a little like a toy.

I have done WW2 airsoft for over 10 years and the best SMG by far is this beast. Full steel and amazing blow back action. The detail is excellent, it weighs and works as per the real thing. Even the mags are heavy as if they are fully loaded with 9mm rounds. Test fired on Puff Dino Green Gas (recommended by AW) and it shoots lovely on both single / auto. I chose the silenced version as I wanted a more authentic feel and I wasn't disappointed. A must for any WW2 airsoft fan or modern skirmisher alike.
