Description
300 to 400fps when (suppressor is attached) green gas ready non-blowback ABS plastic pistol, adjustable hop-up and a silencer. Please use HIGH QUALITY 0.20g or 0.25gBB's with this. A close replica of the famous Mk23 US SOCOM special operations 'assassin' pistol first made in 1991 by H&K for the USA. Please read the description below! Gas powered semi-automatic styled pistol. A very simple and reliable non-blow back mechanism which is also very economic on gas. You can get up to two and a half mag BB reloads from ONE fill of gas! This is of course due to the fact that no gas is wasted on racking the top slide like a blow-back pistol. The pistol has two safety mechanisms, one on the trigger and one on the hammer. It fires in single action (cock the hammer back and fire) and double action (just keep pulling the trigger) with many metal parts that include the top slide, trigger, safety levers, slide removal pin, inner and outer barrels and hammer. Here's the clever bit: The suppressor works! It reduces the loud 'crack!' to about half the volume and has an inner barrel extender which improves the accuracy but also kicks the velocity up from around 300fps to 400fps. For those of you a bit confused, it's because of gas expansion maximising inside the suppressor. So now we come to the important part:

This is a VERY powerful pistol! It must not be used by anyone under 18 unless accompanied by an adult and you MUST wear eye protection. Even if you are just shooting targets because ricochets (rebounds) travel faster and spin at high speed, sometimes with impact damage on the BB (sharp edges) and will SERIOUSLY damage your eyes if they are hit. You must not shoot anyone with one of these unless during play at an airsoft site and only then once it has been approved by the site owner or Marshals. Take heed of this warning unless you have the luxury of a time machine at your disposal!

I have now managed to skirmish with this pistol and would make the following observations. Firstly my example has the hop already set ready for use, however at minimum adjustment, the setting was a little too agressive for .25's bb's. However as fps with .30's is in the region of 270, these are the perfect. weight ammo.
I was able to compare alongside a team mates TM Mk23, this was interesting as the mags are interchagable and they appear very similar, however iSofts Mk23 is heavier due to the metal top slide. Accuracy and range appear identical in my opinion.
Complaints about the mags misfeeding are probably due to loading styles as I found that if I used a bb loader one mag had a tendancy to misfeed and jam. When loaded slowly by hand, feeding one bb at a time this problem was resolved.

The silencer I found had little effect on the pistols report, but a massive increase in fps as reported. I found range and accuracy to be adaquate without the supplied silencer, therfore I invested in a muzzle adapter converting from 16mm to 14mm. This was in order to take advantage of some foam filled sound moderators that I already own. With one of these fitted the report was as reduced as that found by TM owners if not more so.
However when using the supplied silencer/barrel extender I found it nescessary to adjust the hop up.
This is a very large and heavy pistol, however the advantages that this weapon offer are that you could very easily use this as a primary in a milsim event, the range and accuracy lend itself for this scenario. Of course you would still require a back up, the ideal partner would be an iSoft USP!

Ordered on Friday, arrived Saturday, fantastic service provided as always from AW.
Not skirmished yet, but should have the oportunity this weekend, however I have tested and can confirm that my example exceeds the fps qouted.
The silencer is well designed and should not break easily, however it is more of a barrell extension than a sound moderator. The top slide is metal and adds weight and stability to the overall package, more robust than the TM offering and at less than half the price!
I will provide a more in depth review after skirmishing.

Crap magazines

I Now have something bad to say about this gun, ( taken awhile to find)
The magazines are crap, my one seized after about 100 rounds, which I can live with, but recently it started to triple feed and block the barrel, then the little piece of plastic that holds the bb in at the top of the mag decided it wanted to be free and promptly broke, the mag and the whole gun is now unusable, I would highly recommend this gun if someone can find an alternative magazine.

Got the gun today, tested it and it was amazing.

It's my first gas pistol so far, and i'm pretty impressed.
Straight out of the box, mine does around 350-370 fps.
The silencer/barrel extension does the job perfectly.
But i did find my magrelease a bit blocky, mayby i will come use to it though.
Did also got some misfires, mayby from the mag ( spring can jam sometimes around 3/4 way up) but it also could be because, i was to anxious to fire it ;)
Will get another mag soon though.

Pros:
Metal parts and solid build , no wobble at all.
fps
silencer/barrel extension

Cons:
none to mention

Also thanks to AW for the fast shipping and good service.
It took the bank longer to complete my transaction to you guy's than the delivery ;)

The mk23 is a superb pistol, reallypowerfull, really accurate until you've put bout 100 rounds through it in one day then the internals start to seize, but if you make each round count, it's brilliant I got 10 kills with it in one day, BUY IT

Bought this weapon over a month ago, got to use it in a local tournament game, weapon is brill, perfect accuracy, nice weight and very ecomical with gas, got 3 mags of one fill,

bad news the mags that you buy separate have been failing on me, after the first shot I have to remove the mag, or push the trigger forwards, it fires but will not load the next round unless these steps are done. I have swapped parts from the mag that comes with the gun into the mags that you buy spperatly all to no avail. The magazines will still not feed. Anybody having similar issues?
It's a pity because this weapon is brill for a primary pistol.

I bought this gun a couple of weeks ago, it does work however the magazine triple feeds and now the gun wont fire atall, the mag release switch has lost all tension and the little piece of metal on the mag near the top was loose when I got it but now it has come off. Overall I would rate this gun 9/10 if it hadn't broken.

Used in anger for the first time this weekend. Chroned at 350 and performed flawlessly. TM compatible works with TM mags and vice versa. Other user have had mag issues. I had similar issues using blaster bbs but using golden ball .20 it's fed and fired perfectly. I cannot recommend this enough I'll be having another soon. Any chance of this in an all black flavour?

the gun itself is solid, no faults, but the magazines i got where terrible both of them jam after every shot, when you load them the bbs do not stay in the mag, it triple feeds every shot. will any other mags fit this gun? if i order another mag can it be tested before sent? at the moment the gun is unusable.

the mk23 airsoft pistol is a really good weight the silencer is a mock one but it does improve accuracy its a really good pistol for skirmishes and very high powered the only problem ive found with it is with the magazine it comes with as it does not feed into the chamber properly it gets jammed and it sometimes falls out of the magazine housing apart from the that it is an amaizing gun highly recommended. ( try ordering a spare mag and it might work it has happend to mine and my friend gun and they are the same model) any suggestions on how to fix these problems?
