Springers are generally cheaper than all other pistols due to their simplicity. The user is required to manually 'cock' the top-slide (or other mechanism) for every shot fired, therefore firing one shot at a time only. Their simplicity makes them the most reliable all-weather pistols on the market, until they inevitably break due to mostly being constructed from low-cost plastic or metal.
