Full metal sniper shotgun!

Maruzen of Japan were the first to bring this model into the airsoft market. It was ABS plastic, very reliable and cost £80 or more. Then VFC decided to make a full metal version firing at a ridiculously high 450fps, it cost an equally ridiculous £270 but they still sold! Now, China has brought out a full metal copy of the VFC copy! It fires at approximately 350fps and is accurate as hell! Now look at the price :) We recommend a minimum BB weight of 0.25g, the higher weight, the better for accuracy up to )0.30g).

Approx FPS (+/- 5%) 350+
Hop Up No
Powered By Spring (Springer)

Not bad, but you get what you pay for.

Im liking this shotgun. Rugged and compact. It is good value for the money but you'll have some work to do to it. As has been said there is no hop, you'll need to stip it down and clean it. The screws that hold the pump grip in place are threaded on mine so i cant break it down, and there is a large crack in the metal body starting at the mag well. The mag that it came with broke within 10 shots! :( Had to jam part of the spring down it to make it work. Accuracy is all over the place with .2's, but .25/.30 should be alright.
I am happy with it, but keep in mind its cheap and dont expect too much from it.

Brilliant service as normal from the staff at airsoft world. Really happy with the ca870, have a sig 550 as main weapon but always fancied having the option of being able to snipe during a game, with the size of the 550 it would be ridiculous to carry an l96 or such! the ca870 is perfect, powerfull, accurate, amazing range and small enough to carry as side arm sniper.

Fantasitc, heavy duty backup piece, with a quirky hop.

Got my CA870 today (straight off the lorry), clocked in at 387fps out of the box according to ASW, so needed some work before it was site worthy.

Stripped the whole thing down for a good clean and to trim the spring (not that hard, see my guide on and was extremely impressed by the build quality and ruggedness - its all metal bar te faux wood effect grips, and a couple of small plastic spacers. the inside of the barrell was seriously manky with the clear grease the inside of the mechanism is coated with... get some turps and swab it all out - accuracy increases massively!

The grip is solid, and doesnt have a big bar running down it, so this unit is a perfect base for ghetto masterkey conversion.

My only complaint with the shotgun is the hop - the unit is a copy of the maruzen/VFC, which had a couple of hop revisions. Originally it was a fixed hop unit, later it was adjustable via a grub screw concealed beneath the outer barrel, and the later models had a hole drilled to allow easy adjustment without removing the outer barrel. This ACM version has what _should_ be an adjustable hop (grub screw with a spring underneath it) but it does nothing as the hole for the grub is too big and isnt threaded! (be careful when you remore the outer barrel as it pops out!) It is retained in place out of the box by the outer barrel as there is no hole drilled in the outer. To rectify, you'll need to tap the hole for the grub screw, and _then_ drill a hole in the outer barrel to allow entry for an allen key.

On the upside, the box includes a small screwbag of spare screws (of both types used in the gun) a set of two allen keys (to match the grub screws and larger screws found on the gun) and a couple of spare grubs

Also of note - the G&P shorty mag DOES fit and feed perfectly - you just need to trim the plastic guide tab off the front of the G&P mag and it fits perfectly. Nice.

Overall, well worth the money - just be aware that you may need to chop down the spring a bit (unless you plan to use it as a sniper rifle!) and do something with the hop (if you want it adjustable that is!).
