This gun is fantastic. Brilliant blowback and i got 3 and a half mags from one fill in like 15 degrees. However i cant find any spare mags anywhere. Have they stopped making them or something? Please get them back in stock asap

good gun fells good and wow what a recoil great value for money but i will say my box was missing the small tube of silicone grease that comes from KWA other then that good gun

This pistol is great, amazing gas consumption (I got 4.5 mags on one fill of green gas) good FPS at around 300 for woodland and CQB. The hop up makes the BBs fly straight and consistent. The mag only holds 14 shots but the single stack mags make the grip slimmer and more comfortable than a double stack magged pistol (like the glock) Finnally the blowback, this is the fastest and crispest blowback I have seen and it is great to shoot, although you don't get great amount of recoil like some other GBBs the NS2 system and the full metal receiver and slide give you an amazing feeling and shooting gun highly recommended for anyone (who knows how to maintain it).

A very high quality GBB, with no better indication of this than the quality of the finish. I have previously owned a WE 1911 and in comparison, the KWA is the much better. The slide is very secure on the rails and cocking it very is very definite, it locks back very nicely and firmly. The recoil spring lug is plastic however. Its a small thing but it sort of suprised me. Comparing it with my Grandfathers beautiful deact, the weights obviously off, but the GBB accurately emulates the slenderness and pointability that the 1911 offers, and modern high cap magazine handguns lack.

Gas consumption is good, and refilling the magazine with bbs is no bother, the magazine follower locks back in place and just drop them in, 2 mags of bbs for 1 fill of gas. Delivery was very swift, much appreciated. However, there was gas in my magazine when I received it. Definitely airsoftworld's quality assurance testing it, but it goes to show, never make assumptions around firearms, replica or otherwise. In my case I was lucky and both chamber and magazine were empty, but needless to say I jumped out my skin!

Anyway, I hope you will all join me in singing happy birthday on the hundred years anniversary of the design of this remarkable and hugely influential handgun.

I had always had doubts about GBB pistols, I read that they were unreliable and required a lot of maintenance. Those doubts have been obliterated.

My friend picked up this gun from AW a few weeks ago, he showed me it and I was so impressed that I logged onto this website right then to start looking for one to buy myself. At first I didn't want to get the same gun as my friend, but this gun just seemed like the best option, full metal and a classic design.

I placed my order on a Friday and late on Monday, my order status was updated to dispatched. It hadn't arrived by Wednesday (I thought it should have) but then I read that AW had a backlog of orders, shortly afterwards I revcieved an e-mail from Parcelforce telling me AW had given them the item, they gave me a tracking number. The gun arrived this morning (Thursday) at 8:40! I guess they must have shipped it overnight or something, I was very pleased.

The gun itself is great, I knew it would be though as I had seen my friend's 1911. It has a great weight to it and immense power, it lets out a loud 'crack' when the slide goes back and the heavy slide produces a surprising amount of recoil. Running on Green Gas, the gun really performs well even at low temperatures (during the snow spells). The hammer has a realistic action and can be put to half and full-cocked. The sound the slide makes as you pull it back and release it is wonderful, the sound of metal sliding over metal makes me glad I chose this gun. I have a set of real-steel 1911 wooden grips on this gun, they fit well as it is but a bit of filing would improve the fit.

You can find the instruction manual for this gun by searching 'KWA M1911A1 manual' you can click a link and download the manual from there. The gun is also incredibly easy to field-strip, you make sure the mag is removed, cock the hammer back all the way, pull the slide back until the semi-circular cut out (before the slide lock cut out) reaches the slide lock, then simply push the small 'button' on the other side of the gun and the slide lock will pop out, you can then remove the slide and barrel assembly from the frame.

To sum up, I would highly recommend this gun as it looks great and fires even better, it's around £5 cheaper until January 31st so you might aswell get it now.

this was my first GBB pistol! and WOW couldnt of chosen a better one! i like the 1911a1 styling and it feels great in the hand! very weighty and metal (if that makes sense) and it feels very mechanical which just makes firing this thing even better! of course the 15 round mag has its drawbacks, so i will be purchasing another 2 when AW get them back in stock!
firing this gun is clean and crisp the action is smooth and i have had maybe 10 bad feeds in 500 rounds or so!

i ordered this gun on friday and got the gun on saturday very well packed it was definately worth paying a couple of quid extra for saturday delivery.
when i got the gun out of the box i immediately felt the weight and cuality the full metal slide and metal body.
some of the cool things about gun are:
back of the grip is a safety
really hard blow back and satisfying crack of the hammer
great fps 312 using green gas
all around great snipers side arm and pistol

Built like a tank, great weight to to the thing, lovely kickback and looks great even with the blue slide. Although the BBs go a bit wild I'm not sure if .2s are to light for it and the gas seems to expel itself after around 10 shots any reason why that happens? Otherwise great pistol for anyone.
