Move the Mode switch round to the IR settings and you have access to an IR laser and an IR LED illuminator designed for use with Night Vision devices! Very solid construction and an excellent 2-screw RIS mount. The tail-switch has a solid screw attachment and the package includes a blanking screw cover to protect the socket from dirt ingress when the tail-switch is not in use. The only setting in which the main beam cannot be activated is the middle "off" position. Powered by two CR123a cells. We feel it is slightly large for a pistol, but as the pictures show - it will go there!

We try to identify main problems and make few assumptions. Problems depend on the product, assumptions are always pretty much the same. The product must be durable and reliable (this affects materials we use), simple and quick to operate (as in combat there is no time for complicated operations) and above all - useful. I'll try to show you the process on KDL pouch. We started on identifying main problems with 'traditional' pouch. In this case, it was: loud opening (velcro) and flap falling down immediately after opening, getting in way with drawing the mag. Also, we decided that magazines must be secured in pouch (which eliminated shingle prom our options) and quick to draw. We decided to reverse the flap so it wouldn't block the magazines when opened and replaced velcro with shockcord. Although Velcro is still present in pouch, it is for mounting exchangeable flaps, and since very few people do it under fire, loud noise is no longer a problem. The outcome you know. :) However, this flap has also some flaws, resulting directly from construction - e.g. mags are not protected from the rain. For that, you need full flap ('boxed') and we haven't found a way to make a full flap with above merits. That's why pouch is intended for exchangeable flaps. If you plan a long patrol in rainforest - you can take a full flap. If you'll be operating in urban environment - our standard one, or no flap at all. Bottom line - we think on how to make better products, not mindlessly copying what's already on the market."
