not too shabby
Review by AlexPrice Value Quality I have to admit my review is biased. I have worked too long with this rifle to knock it now! I appreciate however I'm reviewing this one and not a real steel.
It ways slightly more than a fully loaded real steel, but still has that lovely ergonomic feel the SA80 boasts. The materials are spot on and mostly (although not exactly-unless my muscle memory is getting old with my mind!) the scale is pretty damn spot on.
Good rate of fire, power etc and the blow back is a nice little feature.
Perhaps £350 is possibly a wee bit too much, but it depends if you're willing to pay for this. In my opinion this gun is for people who WANT to pay for this gun, either being a fan of the gun like myself, or just wanting something new to play with after countless M4s. In essence, this is no beginner gun.
For the money you're paying, I'd have liked to have seen maybe a SUSAT replica thrown in.
All in all, worth it if you're willing!

The G&G L85A2
Review by GorazdPrice Value Quality Ok, guys this is one of the best guns on the planet. I have it in my airsoft weapons arsenal for 1 year and a half now and I must say, its the best standard issue assassault rifle I have ever seen. Its cool looking, its not soooo expensive, it has a good rate of fire and it doesnt weigh alot. The gun is very well made, the magazine is very good quality, the FPS is alittle low but you must get used to it. I recommend it to you alittle more than the Tavor Tar-21 or G36 or Styer AUG. If you are looking for a good quality and reliable gun, you have come to the right place.

The fun almost glosses over the niggles!
Review by JamalenQuality Price Value Having changed my Loadout from German to British Digital recently I was looking to get hold of an L85A2.
I picked up this beasty from the lads at AW, and was very impressed with the finish and quality of the rifle, five years ago people were spending a lot of cash to re-engineer Marui Famas's or Academy L85's and getting nowhere near the look and feel of this AEG.
I fired a few rounds about the house and found it to be a nice gun, then I took it Skirmishing to POW at the beginning of September and put 4000 rounds through it in 1 day, and found it MORE fun!
The hop and power are just right, and having the bolt clacking by your ear really adds to the skirmish experience.. couple of minor niggles tho...
1. The pin that allows the Mag catch to pivot came loose about 2000 rounds in, luckily I was changing mag at the time and caught it as it was coming out, but this is an essential part, and I will have to look into ways of keeping it more secure or replacing it with a better replacement.
2. The cocking bolt handle came off at around 3500 rounds, so I spent 15 minutes retracing my steps around the battlefield before I found it and popped it back on, this is a cosmetic part, but an important one, I will be buying some loctight glue or something to fit it on permanently..
Overall though, the G&G is a LOT of fun to use, and this new re-fitted version from G&G performs very well in the field, But the price for the beast is high, you can get 2 Army L85A1's for this price, and although the build quality of the G&G is better then the army by a good stretch, I'm not sure its 100% better..
