GDS-4004AB – Mosfet with active brake. It has 2 functions. First of them is the MOSFET which eliminates the loss of energy which occurs while mechanical trigger contacts touch each other. It protects your AEG by eliminating trigger burn-out. The second function - active brake, stops the motor immediately after releasing the trigger. This increases the realism of your AEG and improves gearbox lifespan.

The circuit is compatible with all airsoft guns, including upgraded models. It works with 7.2 V battery packs without any problems. It doesn't consume energy while stand-by.

Functions:

It eliminates any loss of energy which occurs while mechanical contacts touch each other. It also makes sure they won't burn unavoidably - the average life of mechanical contacts is 1 year. Thanks to this electronic circuit the battery energy is not wasted in burning contacts but directed straight to the motor. In this way we get higher rate of fire which results in quicker reaction of the trigger.

Active Brake

The motor and gears at work gather the kinetic energy. This energy depends mainly on their speed. The maximum speed is reached after 4 shots. For this reason when you release the trigger, the motor will not stop immediately - the energy which is accumulated in it, depending on the amount, can allow a few extra shots.

Active Brake functions:

1. In the sniper rifles, and while shooting on SEMI, the brake will not allow the spring to come to rest compressed. The piston will always stop in the forward position, so that will increase gearbox lifespan.

2. To increase realism. After releasing the trigger in real guns, extra bullets are not fired as can happen in AEG replicas. Not only is this more realistic, but it stops you wasting ammo!

The system was built with the highest quality electronic components. SMT technology and professional PCB ensure reliability and very small dimensions. The Mosfet itself is one of the best in its category. Its resistance is only 0.003 ohm, thanks to that the circuit doesn't heat up. Another advantage is the fact that it was produced in Logic Level Technology - it has excellent parameters while the voltage is only 4.5V.

    Brilliant MOSFET that showed an improvement in the response of the trigger pull, and the increase in battery life. I was using my M4 variant (G&G with stock internals) on single shot all day with a 1600mah 8.4v nimh battery. Only ended up using 1 battery and a bit for entire day. Considering single shot actually takes up more juice from a battery in an AEG (weird) I was pleasently surprised!

    Relatively easy to install with the manual from the website, and a couple of closely studied vids on youtube to get an idea of how to do it exactly.

    I would recommend to anyone looking to increase the longevity of their rifles internals and for the mod happy out there.

    Excellent product. Does exactly as it says, active braking, which now stops my M14 from overspinning.
    Easy to fit, comes with several spade connectors and protective covers, instructions are available on the mfg web site.

There are legal requirements in the UK about owning a replica imitation firearm and it is ILLEGAL for anyone without a 'VCRA exemption' to purchase one. To purchase a RIF you must have 'reasonable cause' and be either:

An active airsoft game participant and registered at your local Airsoft skirmish site and be able to verify your membership. Your registration can either be a private scheme run by your site or through the UKARA national player registration database. To purchase a realistic replica firearm, you MUST HAVE a VALID site or UKARA player number. Despite what many people say, you do NOT have to be UKARA registered, although their national database system is a lot more reliable and quicker than trying to get your membership verified by your local site!

A film, TV or theatre production company who needs a realistic firearm for the purpose as a prop. Written evidence must be supplied before any purchase.

A Crown Servant who requires a RIF for the purpose of carrying out their duty. This would be for training or similar and again will require written documentation as proof of purpose.

A military re-enactment member who requires a RIF for demonstration, prop, show or vehicle mounting in order to present a realistic and believable weapons display whilst carrying out their duties as a member of the re-enactment group. Third-party liability insurance is a legal requirement. Proof of VALID membership and insurance must be provided.

In the event that you are not a registered player, you are still able to buy a two-tone / “2-tone” Airsoft / BB gun but THE BUYER (not necessarily the user) must legally be 18 years of age or older to purchase it.
