Product Description
The military version of the venerable Thompson we all know and love. Modified during wartime production to be cheaper and more reliable than the 'Tommy gun' the barrel cooling fins and adjustable sights were lost and the drum mags were dropped and the mag replaced with a 30rd stick.
Used by the early British commando units, the drum mag was quickly found to be too heavy & too noisy, being replaced with 20 or 30 round box mags. In US Service, it was taken up by the USMC well before WWII, but was supplanted by the M1A1 version very quickly. The 1928 was found worldwide for many years after WWII however, used amongst others by Israeli terrorists in their efforts to drive the British out of Post-War Palestine, a testament to the gun's longevity & reliability. The example tested was shooting at 375 fps with 0.2g BBs, so check you site limits! We do not guarantee that all of them will shoot at this velocity as spring consistency is almost non-existent in China. Yours may shoot bricks out of the side of your house or it may tickle the lovespuds of your resident tree squirrel, who knows?
